Snow and Its dangers
Snow falls directly onto roofs. Ice, in itself, is not dangerous; it is its accumulation that can cause various damages.
First, it is important to note that roofs are designed to support only a certain amount of snow. The thickness of the snow should never exceed 60 centimeters (about 24 inches). If this is the case, roof snow removal must be carried out urgently.
In addition to the thickness of the snow, it is also necessary to consider the rains and sleet that inevitably occur during the winter. This only exacerbates the snow load that roofs have to withstand. The weight is generally poorly distributed, which increases the dangers and confirms the importance of snow removal.
Finally, we should also mention the accumulation on sloped roofs, which presents a risk not only for local residents but also for passers-by or neighbors.
